Item Analyst

The J. M. Smucker Company, continually ranked by Fortune magazine as one of "The 100 Best Companies to Work For," has an immediate opening for an Item Analyst. Based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Orrville, Ohio, this individual will be responsible for:

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage the set-up, administration and maintenance of Finished Goods, (new products, label and packaging development projects) in all item systems: eSIMS, eSpec and eAGLE

· Initiate and drive-to-completion the eSIMS Item Set-up of all items and components required to support Finished Goods

· Understand the eSpec model for building finished goods and be able to apply GS1 standards accurately to new projects and item requests.  Be proficient in building all configurations and all levels of Finished Goods in eSpec

· Customize eAGLE project templates as required by specific product, project or business requirements both at the start of a project and apply changes as needed

· Prepare and publish Finished Good Item hierarchy reports (EA, CS, PL) and ensure that all changes to existing items which impact the internal systems, external publication, and downstream formulation systems are current and communicated

· Facilitate communication between functional-owner and user groups to collect necessary information and assure timely completion of projects

· Support the Item Development Manager with troubleshooting, special projects and resolution of packaging item or label concerns

· Represent the Global Item and QA teams as the first line of contact with the business cross functionally, i.e. Marketing, QA Nutrition and Regulatory, Legal, Packaging, Marketing Services, Purchasing, Production Planning, etc.

· Take part in the system testing and design refinements of the item-system’s solution for managing the finished good, packaging, and graphic development process

· Function as primary help desk and support center for all item systems relating to Finished Goods, label or graphic development

· Manage the archiving process for maintaining label and graphic project availability to the business

 SELECTION CRITERIAEducationFour-year degree in Marketing, Business, Accounting or IS (will consider a two-year degree with equivalent and relevant experience in a related field)

OtherAnalytical thinking, problem solving capability, able to drive to root causeExcellent verbal and written communication skillsTeam-player, able to work cooperatively with others Leadership skills and experience are a definite plus0-3 years business experience
