Lean Manufacturing Engineer

ITT Morton Grove, a subsidiary of ITT Corporation, is a leading manufacturer of superior pumps, valves, & engineered systems sold under the Bell & Gossett, Goulds, and AC brand names.  An exceptional opportunity is currently available to join our Operations team as a Lean Manufacturing Engineer.

 

Working under minimum supervision, this position is responsible for taking a leadership role converting the current state of existing manufacturing operations to a Lean future state employing and implementing change using Lean techniques and tools.  In addition, the position ensures adherence to good manufacturing practices and quality plans; initiates and implements Lean continuous improvement projects, provides daily support/troubleshooting of process related inefficiencies, and provides technical assistance and training to shop floor personnel

 

B.S. in Engineering disciplines: Mechanical, Industrial or Industrial/Manufacturing Technology.  Green or Black Belt certification is a plus.

 

Must have hands on practical experience as well as an in-depth understanding of the philosophy and technical aspects of lean manufacturing.  A minimum of 3 years experience of proven success implementing Lean projects in a manufacturing environment.

 

Project management cost control and reduction techniques using Lean tools.  Knowledge of proper use of tooling, familiar with fixture design.  In-depth understanding of manufacturing practices, and the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization, as well as lead multi-functional teams toward the completion of those initiatives.
