Brief Job Description:

Liquid Making Support Specialist consists of many roles.  Please see a description below for the duties.   

 

Product Distribution Specialist: 

Operate and maintain primary and ancillary equipment that distributes and transfers liquid product from making tanks to the line fillers.  This includes the rotomatrices, CIP cleaning system, control system, transfer pumps, hoses, and fittings. Operations will be done safely and timely with no unexpected environmental impact.  Product will be of high quality and consistency. Corporate and departmental guidelines will be followed.

 

Weigher: 

Weigh cosmetic and OTC preparations in compliance with FDA and departmental procedures.  Maintain a clean, safe working environment in the department.  Accurately complete batch weighing and compounding records.  Handle all chemicals in accordance with OSHA and corporate safety guidelines.  Ensure chemical weighing containers are clean and accurately identified.  Coordinate availability and quality of raw materials with Shipping and QAS departments.  Perform transactions in SAP. 

 

Other Duties: 

- Accommodate R&D trials and packette programs through toting requirements.

- Perform monthly PM’s for the Making area such as oiling air diaphragm pumps, inspect interior and exterior of Cooling Tanks, check pump strainers, lubricate gearboxes and grease fittings.

- Reduce inventory of rejected and obsolete batches

- Daily sanitization of bin panels

- Perform maintenance on drum pumps

- Perform physical inventory audits

- Stock coordination

- Assistance with 5S and GMP program

Job Requirements: 

- High school education.

- Good math and communication skills.

- Basic computer skills and knowledge.

- Able to organize daily work assignments for efficiency and accuracy in execution.

- Successful candidate will have demonstrated process trouble-shooting skills and experience in operating processes equipments that include pumps, agitation, pigging equipment, etc.

- Stand, walk and move about for periods of time in excess of 8 hours, and tolerate extremes in the work place environment and/or temperature as it occurs. 

- Perform position requirements while wearing appropriate Personnel Protective Equipment or other protective devices.

- Lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis. 

- Excellent attendance and willingness to work weekends and overtime.
