Radio Flyer has an immediate need for a Maintenance and Security Specialist to work in our facility from 3pm-11:30pm M-F.  We are looking for a trustworthy, reliable individual who will work on-site to make sure our facility well maintained.  The ideal candidate would be someone who 1.) has a mechanical aptitude 2.) has always been a handy person and 3.) enjoys fixing things.  This is a very important position at Radio Flyer and we need someone who is passionate about this job and is available to be on-call 24/7 in case of emergencies. 

Responsibilities include:

Ø  Facility Maintenance

o  Check building equipment for signs of problems on daily basis

o  Replace burnt-out lights in office, plant and café

o  Coordinate important document shredding

o  Check daily alarm activity reports

o  Make sure that doors and gates are locked, alarm set at proper time

o  Evaluate Security Guards performance and replace them if necessary

Ø  Security Maintenance

o  Manage the Security Guard

o  Set-up procedure with Security Guard

o  Respond to ADT calls

o  Respond to security guard calls

o  Check daily activity reports made by guards

Ø  Manage Contractors

o  Coordinate schedule of security services to make sure we are covered during Holidays & Vacations

o  Set-up procedure with landscaping contractors

o  Manage snow/lawn clean-up services

o  Coordinate window cleaning and repair with contractors

o  Manage contractors for Boilers & Air Conditioning, Forklift Maintenance and Roof Maintenance

Ø  Be on call for any on-site emergency 24/7

 

Requirements include:

Ø  Must have 5-10 years of relevant working experience

Ø  High School Diploma required

Ø  Work comfortably in both email and Microsoft Word

Ø  Work between the hours of 3:00 pm and 11:30 pm M-F and available to be on-call in case of emergency 

Ø  Proven mechanical aptitude

Ø  Experience managing multiple vendors and action oriented
