MRP/Inventory Control Specialist

 MRP/INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST



Purpose & Scope:  To provide support to the after sales and warehouse teams in the execution of procurement, inventory control and order fulfillment of mining spare parts and equipment;  will assist in the areas of processing sales orders, purchase orders, invoices and assisting with various inventory control needs. 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

ü Enter data for quantities of parts issued, inventory and cycle count adjustments, into computer database. 

ü Maintain, update and organize inventory system.

ü Verify information and counts, weights, or measures of incoming shipments against bills of lading or other records.

ü Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel.

ü Receive and issue finished goods into computer database from orders.

ü Prepare weekly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights.

ü Run and disseminate weekly pull sheets to proper departments.

ü Check work orders against requirements.

ü Trouble shoots quantity discrepancies with manufacturing.

ü Close shop packets received and purge computer database.

ü Streamline labels and organize pre-boxing function.

ü Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory.

 

 

Education & Training:

 

ü Minimum of H.S. diploma

ü Minimum of 1 year of Inventory Control experience

ü Prefer experience in a similar environment

 

 

Job Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

 

ü Must be computer literate.

ü Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy.

ü Ability to properly handle confidential information and records.

ü Able to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies.

 

 

Physical Demands:  Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and lift up to 30 lbs.  Combined work environment of office and production floor.
