Maintenance/Engineering Manager - Food Manufacturing

Our client is a world class food manufacturing company looking for a Maintenance/Engineering Manager to oversee maintenance of factory building and grounds, and energy and utilities conservation.  This is a 24/7 operation.  This position is open due to promotion!Responsibilities:Responsible for maintenance activities for the entire factory operation ensuring maximum operational potential while reducing operating expenses. Oversees factory’s maintenance program, including preventative and corrective programs.  Supports equipment, modification of production equipment to increase efficiencies, manages inventory of spare parts and materials. Supports continuous improvement with focus on improving operating cost and improving customer service through the use of continuous improvement tools such as six sigma and lean manufacturing. Requirements:   Bachelor's degree  (or combination of experience/education/training). 7-10+ years experience overall with at least 5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment. CMMS experience and proficiency in basic office computer skills required. Experience in a unionized environment is a plus. Knowledge and experience mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration/freezing, waste water and HVAC systems. Must be bilingual – English/Spanish. Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities and able to work with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Compensation:  $90,000 - $100,000 with bonus potential and solid benefits package.
