Manager, Corporate Accounting and Consolidations
A Consumer Products Company located in New York City is searching for a Manager, Corporate Accounting and Consolidations with responsibilities as follows:
- In charge of the company’s consolidated financial closing process this includes monthly, quarterly and annual close for the various offices and other SEC registrants for actual and forecast data
- Monitor financial close metrics
- Formalize and publish an annual financial close calendar
- Adhere to established timelines with high quality output throughout the process
- Drive consistency and accuracy in order to increase efficiency
- Facilitate awareness of expectations, and identify impediments to improving the quality and speed of the close
- Company’s consolidation and reporting of actuals, forecast and budget
- Consolidate balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement intercompany elimination, equity accounting, governmental reporting, hedge accounting, etc.
- Collaborate in the preparation of the quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K
- Corporate headquarter general ledger (restructuring, debt, interest, pensions, etc.)
- Review actual transactions (JEs) and forecast, budget submissions and periodic analysis prepared by corporate HQ accountants
- Corporate departmental (guidance, process, output)
- Provide guidance and structure for worldwide reporting of departmental data.
- Act as the point person for the corporate head quarter departmental expenses (actual, forecast and budget)
- Partner with the department managers; provide guidance and support
- Conduct proactive, in-depth discussions about data needs required by the external auditor and manage the timely preparation / delivery of those data needs (PBC List)
- Worldwide external auditor fees (Audit and non-Audit)
- Engage external auditors in technical accounting matters in a timely and comprehensive manner
- Stay appraised of accounting, planning, control, financial analysis and reporting developments
- Perform review of financial information to ensure that it is accurate and in compliance with reporting requirements for U.S. GAAP and SEC
- Execute high-quality and timely analysis / support as required
- Provide support as required to operating units, treasury, executive staff and other functional areas
Qualified candidates will possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of related experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Good communication and organizational skills
The total compensation range for this opportunity is $90,000 to $95,000 with excellent benefits (medical, dental,) and a 401k plan with match.
