Manager - Sox Compliance

Our client, a global leader in the Hi-Tech industry, seeks a high performance professional eager to be part of a change driven organization.  This dynamic environment will provide an individual the platform to demonstrate their skills and talents, and offers a high degree of visibility and autonomy.

 

In this newly created leadership role you will be responsible for assessing and managing risk for the organization on a global level, while also assisting in the creation of an internal audit department.  Primary responsibilities include:

 

- Managing SOX 404 compliance program

- Implementing SOX Compliance Portal solution to manage process, and ICFR risk assessment for FY2009 and beyond.

- Supporting development of Internal Audit plans and programs

- Planning, managing and executing both operational and financial audits.

- Identifying broad business risks and their potential impact

- Development and monitoring of internal controls across all functional groups

- Managing relationship with consulting firm handling outsourced activities

 

Requirements: The successful candidate will possess 7-10 years of experience in public accounting, internal audit or a blend of both, including direct SOX 404 experience.  Hi-Tech experience a plus, manufacturing experience highly desired.  In addition, the candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a “hands on” capacity at all levels of the organization.  Bachelors and/or advanced degree in accounting required. Should possess at least one of the following designations - CPA/CIA/CMA/CICA.
