Manager Supply Chain Development

Purpose


The ambitious and aggressive growth goals of Diageo NA demand world class, fit-for-purpose supply chains designed to support increasing customer and retailer expectations. To meet these demands of the future, the strategy of Customer Service & Supply will focus increasingly on end-to-end collaboration with suppliers, manufacturing, customers and service providers. The role of Supply Chain Development (SCD) is to help set this strategy through optimal trade-offs of cost and service, and coordinate the integration to deliver cost and service requirements of an end-to-end supply chain across Procurement, Manufacturing, Customer Service and Logistics. The SCD team will also work closely with other Diageo Supply Centers to identify customer service or supply chain cost-savings ideas. This role is responsible for driving various SCD initiatives, through idea development, supply chain modeling, and project management.

Management Responsibility
The incumbent will report to Director, Supply Chain Development. There will be no direct reports, however the incumbent will be expected to lead senior analysts on the team in creating and using linear program models to generate savings and service improvement opportunities.

Complexity of Role
·Requires broad-based supply chain thinking.
·Ability to develop robust supply chain analytical models to derive insights on trade-offs across conversion costs, inventory costs, procurement costs, logistics costs and customer service.
·Ability to lead cross-functional project teams

Key Outputs/Deliverables
·Ensure timely delivery of CS&S strategic initiatives through idea development, network and supply chain modeling.
·Support the delivery of planned service and inventory strategy through analysis, end-to-end supply chain coordination and supporting Supply Chain Planning.

Experience
·Strong analytical background. Linear Programming and MS Access experience required.
·Ability to lead idea generation, development of analytical models and building consensus around proposed opportunities.
·3+years of experience in Operations Management/Supply Chain Management/General Management.
