Manager of Contract Sales & Operations- Global Contract Sales

Our client is a global $7 billion+ major market manufacturer of consumer packaged goods with a thriving $150 million+ outsource/contract manufacturing services business unit that provides product development, sourcing, manufacturing, printing, packaging and distribution for their parent company as well as many other major consumer product companies. The contract sales division provides contract manufacturing for personal care, oral care, skin care, household cleaning products and other consumer products.



Job Title:  Manager of Contract Sales & Operations- Global Contract Sales (JH08104)

Reports to: Director of Client Services

Location:  Beautiful Western Michigan – Grand Rapids Area

 

 

Position Purpose

This position is responsible for managing the profitability and growth of our contract manufacturing business in which is primarily based Western Michigan. Responsibilities include: business development, sales presentations, negotiating and closing sales with potential customers. This position directs a strong staff comprised of account managers and technical managers for the contract business. The position is responsible for setting strategy and providing clear direction and leadership to achieve aggressive sales goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing and directing a successful sales team in a relations driven environment. This position requires an understanding of contract manufacturing processes in a consumer products setting. Candidates should have experience in soliciting and securing new business and have highly developed interpersonal and business negotiation skills.

*Contract Manufacturing Experience is Required*

Education/Experience 

The desired candidate will have a BA in business or a related field; MBA preferred.

Sales experience in contract manufacturing, contract packaging, or consumer products setting required.
