Contribute to the success of Avon! We are looking for an adaptable, self-motivated, passionate, creative team player to join our Manufacturing Plant in Morton Grove (suburb of Chicago), Illinois as a Manufacturing Maintenance Engineering Supervisor.
This position is responsible for initiating and implementing safety, capacity equipment, and capital projects. This position is also in charge of improving the quality and production in the packaging systems. This role will also assist with the preparation for running new items and line tests. In addition, this position is responsible for providing expertise regarding new packaging equipment technology and training to associates.
ResponsibilitiesDesign packaging lines/layouts, equipment, fixtures, change parts, etc. and coordinate installation of same Design of new systems related to the packaging operation Develop, implement and maintain preventative maintenance and set-up documentation systems Analyze capacity of our current equipment usage Coordinate major and minor equipment purchases Function as the focal point for feedback to the Advisors regarding the performance of the Mechanics and Line Tenders. Train these associates to improve technical skills and productivity Manage the disposal of surplus equipment Responsible for a budget of $800M
RequirementsBS/BA in Mechanical, Industrial or related technical degree is required 1-6 years experience in project design & management, preferably in cosmetics, pharmaceutical or food industry Must possess solid engineering skills and experience Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Must be able to manage and complete multiple projects Strong verbal and written communication skills Team player with internal customers and suppliers Time Management Skills
