The Market Unit Supply Chain Manager leads the Sales Center Management teams to ensure that annual supply chain goals and objectives are met. Serve as the “direct contact” from Supply Chain who shares joint accountability with Sales Center Management team for delivery, merchandising, warehouse and transportation efficiencies and OPEX control. Mine area opportunities and leverage Supply Chain resources to meet the primary business objectives of the business unit. Job Responsibilities
Partner with Sales Center and Plant management, as well as Logistics Services Manager to identify and serve up strategic initiatives or opportunities that will enable achievement of supply chain and business goals. Influence business unit leadership, Area leadership and Sales Center decision makers on execution required to improve efficiencies and customer service. Work with Sales Center management to better manage merchandising costs and to provide quality service for large store customers. Work with Sales Center management to increase driver efficiencies/lower delivery costs and provide quality delivery service for all customers. Assist Warehouse management teams in their efforts to identify and address areas of opportunity in efficiencies that will drive lower loading costs. Work with business unit management team to manage BD&L (Breakage, Damage and Loss) to planned levels or below. Lead on execution plan for all Supply Chain initiatives within assigned area. Facilitate weekly/monthly/quarterly Supply Chain metrics and discuss action plans with Sales Center and warehouse management teams. Leverage Logistics systems and tools. Conduct analysis of area business needs and opportunities and share learning’s with field and Supply Chain management.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education required. Three plus (3+) years experience in area of Supply Chain or Sales Center Operations required. Sales Center, Distribution or Warehouse management experience preferred. Three plus (3+) years of relevant or related industry experience preferred. Strong analytical skills in the areas of SAP, Excel, Access, i-Logex, i-WIN, MerLOT, Shortrec, etc. required. Proficiencies with Word/Excel/PowerPoint, i-Logex, i-WIN, SAP. APICS certification is a plus. Must be willing to travel 60-80% of the time.
