Marketing Coordinator Summary
Overall Marketing Coordinator ResponsibilitiesAssist the Marketing Manager in all areas of the Marketing process.Provide the Brand team with well-organized, accurate data.
Specific Marketing Coordinator DutiesProvide insightful analysis of top line monthly sales data vs. budget and/or latest estimates.Develop & recommend product mix and assortments for promotional programs, prepare and issue all Marketing programs. Write Marketing Rationale for promotional programs.Assist Marketing Manager in all new product development (idea generation, business plan development, fragrance evaluation, pricing, positioning statement, packaging, research, advertising, media and promotional plans, POP materials, new product P&L’s and budgeting, executing key elements of the launch, post-launch analysis)Provide recommendations and implement all major account/special account requests including GWP’s and excess inventory programs.Assist Marketing Manager in developing, preparing and presenting the annual strategic/tactical marketing plans.Ongoing monitoring of the Marketing Plan in response to marketplace performance.Update and maintain all bi-monthly Operations Meeting minutes and guide the team through the program/tracker process.Execute and evaluate value-added media activity.Interface with all internal support groups (Creative, Packaging, Purchasing, Planning, Sales, Sales Administration and Trade Marketing) as well as external vendors (Ad Agency, Promotional houses)Provide Cost of Goods analyses on regular and promotional items as well as competitive retail pricing analysis as needed.Coordinate comps of promotional programs with Creative and Sales Administration.Proof all manuscript and artwork mechanicals.Assist Marketing Manager in developing and maintaining the assigned Brand’s Website, Internet promotions, event marketing, and Living Media tactics.Analyze and maintain financial documents, monitor marketing expenses compared to budget.Special analysis projects as needed (i.e. Returns, IRI, Top Account Reports)Act as gatekeeper of competitive activity and information.
Essential Marketing Coordinator Skills & CharacteristicsMarketing Coordinator candidate should possess:Strong analytical ability; numbers orientedStrong interpersonal skills/results oriented/self-starterMulti-task; manage multiple projects at one timeMarketing Coordinator candidate should have:Minimum one year of Marketing/Advertising/Sales or Marketing related experienceCollege degree BA/BSProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes
