Position Summary:

Unilever Ice Cream (Good Humor, Breyers, Klondike, Popsicle, Ben & Jerry’s) has an immediate opportunity for a 2nd shift Manufacturing Supervisor at our Clearwater, Florida manufacturing facility.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

·  This position is responsible for key aspects of integrated manufacturing. Integrated manufacturing includes responsibilities of productivity, line maintenance, product quality and sanitation.

·  The Manufacturing Supervisor will have ownership of these functions on a daily basis.

·   The Supervisor will complete these tasks utilizing a team concept, Guiding Principles in the employee handbook and development of the individual employee’s career with Unilever.

·  The underlying concept is to train, develop, empower and lead employees, so they need minimal on-going technical guidance.

·  The selected candidate must become thoroughly familiar with ice cream processing equipment including: ammonia freezers, nitrogen tunnels, CIP systems, packaging equipment of all types, conveyors, check-weighers, coders, motors and pumps to the extent that they can direct employees to work on and/or repair them.

·  The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years previous experience supervising employees in a fast paced production environment.

·  A four year degree is also desired for the position.

·   The candidate must also be literate in Microsoft Office including Outlook, WORD, EXCEL and Powerpoint as well as KRONOS or similar time-keeping system and must have strong math skills and ability to analyze production data.

Education:

 Prefer 4 year degree in relevent field.



 

Requirements:

 

·  Experience in food manufacturing and supervising hourly employees.

·  Work with partner supervisor to oversee 8 lines of ice cream novelty production in our non-union environment. You will participate on employee continuous improvement teams.

·  Candidate will need to have the ability to communicate well and develop people. Need to be detail oriented, organized, dependable and motivated.
