EDUCATION: 

BSME

 EXPERIENCE: 

Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience in the design of formed sheet metal and plastic injection molded parts.  Candidates must be proficient in using 3D CAD modeling software. Some experience in areas of electronics packaging and issues related to Shake, Vibration, Drop, heat and Thermal Shock.  Experience with I-DEAS or NX CAD Software is a plus. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES:  The selected candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design of digital set top boxes. Responsibilities:-Develop initial concepts with the design team.-Represent Mechanical Development as a Core Team Member.-Design all mechanical parts using Ideas 3D CAD or NX software.-Obtaining all mechanical prototype parts for builds and design verification.-Approve first off tool and initial production samples for all mechanical parts.-Follow and support the design as required in production. Candidate must have following characteristics:-Function well in a cross functional team environment.-Excellent oral and written communications skills.-Willingness to Travel as required.
