Mechanical Product Engineer

Xyron is looking for a Mechanical Product Engineer to join the Product Development team.  This position is responsible for mechanical, functional design/development of simple to complex parts/mechanisms and products as idealized in new product development using Pro-E. Assist design team during conceptualization phase of development through to product release. Design, develop and lead testing to qualify new products and support changes to existing products as required. Perform structural calculations or other relevant analysis during design phase of product.  Provide technical information throughout product development. Knowledge Support design improvements on existing products as required.

 

Education and/or Experience:

·  Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering

·  3+ years experience as product engineer

·  Strong engineering skills with a focus on statistics, stress analysis, and machine design

·  Highly proficient using Pro-E

·  GD&T experience desired

·  Experience in Project Management a plus

·  Experience with injection molding, casting and sheet metal production is ideal.

·  Capable of functioning independently on technical work with limited administrative supervision

·  Willingness to travel occasionally to Mexico or China
