Mix Plant Manager

Overview of Position:

Manager – Mix Plant– is responsible for Mix Manufacturing.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Mix Manufacturing and Processing

Directs production of products that consistently meet KKD volume requirements and quality standards

Works closely with the lab to continuously monitor and improve quality control procedures

Leads efforts to quickly and effectively resolve production or quality problems

Coordinates efforts to improve manufacturing processes in order to improve plant efficiency

Collaborates with Purchasing in order to ensure KKD supply chain meets requirements

Financial

Participates in development of plant revenue and operating expense and capital budgets

Leads efforts to ensure plant meets the budget

Provides monthly manufacturing analysis for budget review

Ensures accuracy of perpetual inventory

People

Recommends appropriate staffing levels and gaining approval for these levels

Directs recruiting, hiring and training of all personnel at the Mix plant

Leads development of all Mix plant supervisory personnel

Effectively communicates with all employees on all shifts formally and informally

Implements KKD policies and procedures as appropriate

Maintains all documentation of training and safetyOther duties as assigned

Essential skills and Experience:

Undergraduate college degree or equivalent years of experience

At least 7 years manufacturing experience and at least 3 years of production supervisory experience

Grain based industry experience

Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

Nonessential skills and Experience:

Food grade plant experience highly preferred
