Shearer’s Foods is currently in search of an individual to join our Information Technology team. The qualifications for the .NET Developer / Systems Analyst position located in our Navarre, Ohio office are described below.

The .NET Developer / Systems Analyst will be responsible for assessing, developing, implementing and supporting departmental as well as corporate reporting, application and system needs. Further duties will include data mining, maintaining and servicing all IT requests, establish and maintain coding standards / best practices, research new technologies, custom GUI design/code, and quality assurance testing of custom developed solutions.

General Requirement:

1. 1-3 years experience with application development and design in a professional environment utilizing .NET technologies in conjunction with relational databases.

2. Minimum of an Associates Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering or like technical field.

3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff.

4. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

5. Research & Development abilities.

6. Ability to create functional specifications along with technical documentation.

7. Conduct research into software-related issues and products.

8. Be highly-motivated and demonstrate ability to prioritize and execute tasks.

9. Proficient report writing capability as well as attention to detail

10. Demonstrated project leadership experience

11. Ability to scope, develop a business case, and plan for projects.

12. Able to lead small functional teams.

13. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff.

14. Proper coding practices as defined by Shearers Foods Inc.

 


Technical Requirements:

1. Proficient in a variety of computer programming languages, including HTML, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, VB.NET, JavaScript, Transact-SQL, and PL/SQL

2. Have thorough understanding of IIS 5.0 and 6.0, Windows 2000 and 2003 operating systems, SQL Server 2000 / 2005 and Oracle 8i

3.  Experience with any of the following a plus: C#.NET, XML, Mobile Application development, Microsoft BizTalk, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, Integration Services, Data Transformation Services.Infragistics, EDI, Visual Studio 2003, and experience building/maintaining SQL cubes
