Online Database Marketer
Essential Functions:Grow the company’s customer databases from all sources, including emails, promotions, joint ventures and affiliates.Lead the daily sales efforts of promoting, marketing and selling the company’s products to all of the company’s databases, through all of the company’s websites, affiliates, joint venture partners and resellers.Direct the web and email marketing efforts, interfacing with the marketing, design, web and IT groups to insure the best product offering is available to customers.Lead daily, weekly and monthly sales meetings, analyzing all critical sales and web numbers.Manage the company’s customer databases for long-term maximum ROIIdentify new products to bring to market to maximize trends and customer demandsNegotiate bulk product purchase orders using trade marketing and brand promotional reciprocation.Create strategic offerings based on seasonality, market dynamics or related value bundles and packages.
Related Responsibilities and Duties:Utilize existing account management processes and reporting systemsOrganize and conduct sales presentations both live and via phone as necessaryStandard measurements will focus on actual sales, profitability, growth percentage within the business unit. In addition, developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of new customers will be a key indicator of future success expectations.Update the company on changing trends within the online marketing environment so the organization can make and adjust plans accordingly.Must be able to effectively communicate with management regarding business growth and initiatives.An ability to accurately and effectively communicate client needs to the internal staff is critical as it will allow the company to deliver on the expectations created.
Requirements:Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of sales and marketing experience within an online marketplace.Extensive knowledge of the internet and email database marketing/tracking, especially as pertains to websites, e-commerce, and online content.The ideal candidate has familiarity and experience (as a consumer) with personal development products, titles and authors.Competence in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows.Ability to motivate and liaise with various stakeholders across several departments.Primary location initially be in the company’s Southlake, TX office with possible relocation/transfer to the Lake Dallas, TX corporate officeSome travel will be required to close and service clients and support company’s events.
