With more than 3,700 employees, Flint Hills Resources strives to create value for customers and society.• Boiler operation • Forklift operation • Monitor and operate emulsion milling process. • Mix chemical solutions. • Perform valve switching for tank line-ups. • Load finished product. • Unload raw materials. • Perform routine minor maintenance and adjustments on equipment. • Opening and closing valves • Inspecting process piping and equipment • Reading and recording process flow, pressure, temperature and level measurements. • Gather samples from sample valves • Drum handling • Basic computer skills • General maintenance which includes: pipe fitting; bolting/un-bolting equipment; insulating piping and tanks; cleaning equipment; recycling pump seal drips; strainer and filter cleaning and other tasks as determined by managementEOE M/F/D/VIdeal candidate will possess: • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word). • Verbal and written communication skills. • Valid driver’s license. • Critical thinking and decision making skills. • Good organizational skills. • Willing to work shift work when necessary and be on-call for after hours support. • Ability to work at elevated heights. • Ability to safely lift at least 75 lbs. • Ability to climb ladders and storage tank stairs (stairs/ ladders may have ice and snow during winter months) for maintenance and gauging operations. • Work outdoors in adverse weather conditions. • Willing to wear fire retardant clothing, as required. • Willing to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, fire retardant clothing, safety work boots) as required. • Occasional travel (with overnight stays) required for attending training, meetings and assisting other areas or locations. • Ideal candidates will have prior experience with asphalt products and/or oil and gas industry; maintenance, machinery operations, boiler operation, and laboratory testing.Education Required: High School Diploma or GEDExperience and Education Preferred: Terminal Operations Experience Computer skills Some college or technical school training in industrial mechanics preferred. 2 yr college degree Compensation/Benefits Competitive wages and benefits packages commensurate with experience.
