Packaging Art Director

In-house Advertising Department for a leading manufacturer and marketer of nutritional supplements seeks an experience Packaging Art Director.



Responsibilities:

· Work with new product development team in the creation of original packaging designs for various NBTY nutritional supplement brands (labels, IFC’s, package inserts).

· Work with Label production department in NY and support package design team in Florida by revising existing package designs and extending approved design templates across product categories and brands.

· Work side by side with Label Production Managers to bring designs from concept to final digital art production stages for printing.

· Supervise small staff of graphic artists.

· Assist in the proofing and initial press checks of new packaging design executions.

· Some travel required.



 

Requirements:

· Must have 3 - 5 years experience in consumer packaged goods design.

· Must be proficient in MAC systems, Quark Xpress, In-Design, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

· Knowledge of various printing processes including flexographic and offset printing a plus.

· You need the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

· Careful attention to detail a must.

· Strong written and inter-personal communication skills a must.
