As our client’s Package Designer, your career will be full of challenges with the potential for personal growth and great success.

Our client currently operates with a staff of five full time designers who create packaging for their consumer packaged goods clients from start to finish.  As designer for our client, you will be expected to be multitalented and a resource to our customers, sales, and manufacturing. You will be expected to be able to develop and design a packaging design for their client's products from the design (not graphics) of the outside of the box of package, selection of materials, sleeves, overwraps, etc.

Our client prides itself on efficiency and effectiveness through the use of several tools developed to help team members maintain our client’s reputation for quality, consistency, and predictability.

You will be expected to learn and participate in the following in a relatively short amount of time: Learning our client’s Quality Policy and Quality Objectives. Familiarization with Design Center Procedures / ISO 9001 Compliance. Involvement with our client’s 1A Process (new order excellence).Learning our client’s Sales Automated System (SAS)Immersion in the client’s Culture.

Getting the Ball Rolling!

It will be imperative that successful Design Center candidates be able to demonstrate proficiency in the following within their first few months:  Mastering the current version of OUR CLIENT’s CAD software, Artios 7Mastering “TOPS,” OUR Client’s palletizing software.Familiarization with Adobe’s Photoshop and Illustrator.

 

Beyond Box Design.

Associated Services:

The Design Center plays a key role in supporting our internal and external customers by supplying more than box design and prototypes. As our client’s Designer you will be required to understand the following: How to Recommend, Design, and Fabricate for Protective Packaging (Foam).Understanding Corrugated, Single Face Lamination (SFL)
Understanding and Applying Corrugated / Folding Carton Tolerances.Assembling Layouts.Programming and Cutting Coating Blankets.Programming Die Cutting Spot Sheets.Our client’s Business SystemThe Flexography process.The Lithography Process.The Die Cutting Process.The Finishing Process.Protective Packaging / Assembly

 

Compensation:

Base salary commensurate with experience in the range of $60K to $70K per year plus benefits and more!

Relocation:

A limited relocation package will be negotiated for outstanding candidates.
