Packaging Production Artist/Customer Service Representative

 

Job Description:

 

The Brand Solutions Division of Matthews International is seeking a Packaging Production Artist/Customer Service Representative to work in our Attleboro, MA location.  We are seeking a motivated individual to perform a combination of Production and Customer Service responsibilities.

 

 

A summary of duties to include:

 

·  Interpret order instructions to create and make changes to electronic art files for packaging with a high degree of accuracy.

·  Generate artwork, proofs for customer approval and print cards.

·  Proofread own work to ensure accuracy.

·  Follow brand standard manuals to build basic to complex art files with linked images.

·  Build art files for flexographic and offset printing, incorporating the different aspects of both printing processes.

·  Ensure all graphic elements are consistent across related files and packaging.

·  Coordinate the communication and data retrieval between Matthews & customer for art, printing plate, cutting die and print accessory orders

·  Ensure order instructions and information are entered accurately into order entry system and products are produced per customer specifications

·  Communicate order status to customer on a daily basis

 

 

Qualifications:    Degree in Graphic Arts or related field required

  2+ Years of Packaging industry experience required

  Detail orientation a must

  Proficient with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop in a Mac environment

  Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel in PC environment

  Familiarity with gravure, offset and flexo print disciplines
