Packaging Production Coordinator

General Summary:This position plays a key role as a liaison between our company and our overseas factories and packaging vendors. This individual will work with our management, graphics department and sales department to guide the packaging process of our product from concept to completion while maintaining company standards and meeting our customer’s expectations. Experience:Experience in a creative or print environment where candidate was responsible for handling multiple projects from beginning to end while meeting strict deadlines is desired. Requirements:Superior written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. Strong time management skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize projects to concentrate resources appropriately and meet deadlines.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.Thorough knowledge of print processes and packaging production.Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Quark Express is a plus but not required. Responsibilities:Work with our in-house Graphic Design staff and Photographer to coordinate and track all packaging and catalog production throughout the creative, approval and production process while keeping their respective deadlines.Approve packaging and product color samples and provide necessary feedback if company standards are not followed.Will include periodic overseas travel to work with overseas factories and printers to ensure that packaging design and quality standards are met.Obtain and negotiate printing quotes from domestic and overseas printers.Complete and update forms as required for private label packaging.
