1)Position Summary:
To plan and execute the commercialization of branded and/or customized Foodservice products. In addition to scale-up of new products, maintenance and product/ profit improvement of existing products is vital to support the business processes of the company for North America and globally This position will be required to carry out product and process development projects that will lead to new or modified products in support of the Innovation Process of the company.

2)Position Scope
A Principle Food Scientist is generally expected to conduct the following work activities as part of cross- functional project teams:
•Develops a broad range of products for the Foodservice Industry using a variety of resources to bring concepts to life.
•Needs minimal direction on projects
•Demonstrates ability to analyze technical data, anticipate project next steps and recommends options
•Submission of safety clearance information.
•Directs Development of specifications for new raw materials and finished products.
•Participation in scale ups from pilot to factory with adjustments, as needed, to processes and formulations with minimal guidance.
•Management of product transition from development into the supply chain.
•Supports supply chain improvement and cost savings projects including troubleshooting activities where product knowledge is needed
•Minimal Travel required (15%)

Requirements:
•BS Food Science or related, MS or PhD preferred
•7-15 years Product Development experience
•Product development-sauces, dressings, seasonings; preferrably in a foodservice environment.
