We have an excellent opportunity for a Product Development/Sourcing Manager to join our Product Development team.  This is a great environment for a high energy individual seeking to develop and source new products and line extensions in categories focusing in beauty, style and wellness. 

 

Responsibilities include: developing, sourcing, and negotiating new products and product extensions throughout entire development and production process with the goal of creating high-quality products and effective business deals that produce meaningful revenue and profits.   In addition, role will drive product development research and analysis; select and manage third party vendors and suppliers; and oversee product formulation, clinical testing, raw material and component sourcing, packaging, labeling, production, and quality assurance protocols for domestically and internationally distributed products. 

 

This position will also lead efficacy claim substantiation as well as legal compliance for the manufacture and distribution of goods; provide effective contract negotiation, cost control, quality, and schedule adherence; work closely with internal resources as well as cultivate relationships with new material suppliers, chemists and manufacturers; as well as manage multiple new product development initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 7+ years experience in consumer healthcare, cosmetic and/or cosmeceuticals or OTC pharmaceutical industries.  In addition, candidate must have experience in sourcing in both domestic and international markets as well as be a tough negotiator who can achieve high product quality at lowest cost and best terms.  Proven product analysis skills, leadership skills and the ability to easily manage multiple tasks on tight deadlines required.  Position requires travel.
