Product Integrity Manager

Learning Curve Brands, Inc. (formerly RC2 Brands), a leading designer, producer and marketer of innovative, high quality toys, collectible and infant care products has a full time opening for an Product Integrity Manager working on the First Years brands located in Stoughton, MA.

 

OVERALL SUMMARY:  The Product Integrity Manager will be responsible for ensuring reliability and safety of assigned product categories developed by the Care Consumer Team.  Products include child care products such as; security gates, monitors, sleep products and playpens.  This position is responsible for the adherence to all applicable global governmental and industry standards from inception to the end of the product life cycle.  The position establishes quality and safety requirements, procedures, specifications and test methods/programs and maintains documentation that enables ongoing compliance with certification programs.

 

EDUCATION:  Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent required.  ASQ certification preferred (CRE, CQE, CQA).

 

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of 5 years of experience in product safety, quality, manufacturing and new product development; with an understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations including ASTM and JPMA.  Toy and juvenile products background preferred.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Serve on the product development team, providing quality and product safety requirements to the Team.

 

·  Support assigned product development teams though identification of applicable standards and development of quality requirements and testing standards for all new products during the development process.

 

·  Serve as conduit for all quality and safety communication with the China Product Integrity Team and Domestic vendors.

 

·  Ensure that the Team’s quality milestones meet all critical deadlines.

 

·  Ensure that appropriate safety warnings and labeling are applied to products, packages and instruction manuals

 

·  Identify quality trends and lead periodic meetings to communicate trends and other quality and safety information to teams

 

·  Manage Disney Code of Conduct/Factory Audits

 

·  Provide input to ensure compliance with customer quality and safety programs

 

·  Establish and maintain a process to ensure all appropriate registrations are obtained for assigned product lines which may include;  JPMA, ASTM, FDA, GMP, PA/OH/MA stuffed toy registrations and CA 117

 

·  Conduct investigations of CPSC complaints and reports to determine if substantial hazards exist.

 

·  Analyze feedback received from all customer returns (Customer Care and retailers) and provide data to Far East team for corrective action

 

·  Provide technical assistance to Consumer Care as needed
