Product Manager - Fashion Jewelry & Accessories

EK Success, a division of Wilton Industries. and a creative consumer products company is currently seeking a Product Manager for our Fashion Jewelry and accessories making division based in our Clifton, NJ office.

 

The Product Manager acts as a business manager for assigned product categories, focusing on new product development planning and implementation and management of existing product lines.  Responsibilities include, but are limited to:

 

Responsibilities include:Generating product ideation and concept development for bead and jewelry-making product extensions and new product categories.  Could include categories such as components, tools, storage, kits, otherPerforming market research to understand competitive landscape and market opportunities.  Preparing market evaluation, marketing plans and financial justification for products/programs developed.Setting project prioritization and managing team work flow.  Driving and improving workflow and procedures ensuring on time and on brand delivery.Art direction to both internal and external creative resources including jewelry designers, graphic designers, model makers, packaging consultants, domestic and overseas manufacturers.Overseeing designers to make sure all products are researched, prototyped & tested (before and after production) Ensuring designers are communicating clear product specifications for manufacturing.Working with sourcing and vendors on vendor selection, sampling, QC standards & procedures.  Selecting best vendor for each product type based on capacity, quality and pricing, setting clear communications and timelines.  Working with sourcing on finding new suppliers as needed.  Communicating with vendors on product and pricing.Creating distribution plans that consider key partnerships.Developing retail pricing that supports buyer/customer relationship development.Working closely with the sales force to drive sales, find new placement in store, develop and sell planograms.  Assisting with and attending relevant sales meetings.Managing assigned product category inventory identifying products that need promotional help or closeouts; developing forecasts with forecasting team before placements of POS.Researching and submitting products for all required testing such that company standards are met.Other tasks as needed.

 

Qualifications:

 Minimum of 5 years experience developing consumer products, preferably with jewelry.Must be self motivated, highly organized and possess positive energy and an entrepreneurial spirit.Must work well within a team.Must have a highly refined sense of style and great understanding of fashion, home decor and gift trends and must be able to convey this understanding to suppliers, creative staff (internal & external) and others. Must be highly comfortable giving presentations to a wide range of audiences. Foreign and domestic travel required as needed.
