Project Manager - Marketing
WinCup’s Project Manager consults with management and reviews project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing projects. The position is responsible for day to day project management including: planning, coordinating, integrating, tracking and monitoring all phases of the project lifecycle. The Project Manager will also maintain project files; report on project status and variances from plan and recommend corrective actions, as well as prepare Stage Gate proposals. This position requires a high level of contact with Sales, Engineering, Production Planning, Creative Services, Pricing, and Purchasing. The successful candidate acts as a single point of contact for assigned projects and must be comfortable working with geographically dispersed project sponsors, project team members and subject-matter experts.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSConsults with management and reviews project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources for national, institutional and retail markets. Develops project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources. Formulates and defines technical scope and objectives of project. Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news. Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks. Coordinates recruitment or assignment of project personnel including assignment of duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget. Establishes standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation. Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules and plans as required. Prepares project status reports and keeps management, clients, and others informed of project status and related issues. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems. Coordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specifications. Develops and complies with business processes that ensure developed application meets all project requirements for national, institutional and retail markets. Develops and maintains technical and project documentation. Coordinates project activities with marketing, sales, engineering, operations, customer support, and client staff to ensure goals and requirements are met. Prepares and presents the statement of work and proposals for identified clients in conjunction with account management. Aggressively optimizes the development process and surface problems. Formulates and defines technical scope and objectives of project. Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news for national, institutional and retail markets.
The ideal candidate has the following qualifications and experience:
Four year degree in Business, Marketing or Project ManagementTwo to five years experience with product/program/project management in a consumer goods or retail development environment. Prior experience with a foodservice or consumer group products division preferred. Complete understanding of project management tools, procedures and overall product life cycle, emphasis on project management skills. Prior experience with manufacturing methodologies. Knowledge of Project Management software and Microsoft Office software. PMP designation highly desirable.
