Project Manager--Outbound Transportation

Position Summary

 

You will be responsible for the strategic evaluation of the Outbound Transportation and Inbound Logistics networks as they exist today. You'll manage major projects and liaise with internal functional groups including Sales, Finance, Customer Service and Inbound Logistics that will drive network change to improve service and reduce overall cost.

Key Responsibilities

* Create and execute project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements

* Identify resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities

* Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope

* Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client

* Effectively applies Avon's methodology and enforces project standards

* Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures

* Minimize exposure and risk on projects

* Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately

 

 

Requirements

 

* Bachelors degree in Supply Chain management, Logistics or related business discipline

* Minimum 4 years logistics operations/project management experience

* Proficiency with all Microsoft applications

* Strong project management, leadership, and analytical skills
