Promotions Manager

  Ubisoft, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a full-time Promotions Manager for its Media & Promotion Department.  This individual will report to the Senior Manger of Promotions, and be responsible for managing the development, implementation and complete coordination of comprehensive promotion plans targeting core and casual gamers; with a focus on events and experiential marketing. The ideal candidate will have relationships and fist-hand knowledge of reliable vendors, partners and innovators.  He/She will also help to earn additional marketing partnerships, build CRM promotional campaigns and work with the team on all other promotional work (ie. Contests, sweepstakes, rebate promotions, online promotions, channel promotions, etc).  We are looking for a high potential, future leader within Promotion’s who can pull off large and small programs and earn the respect of a variety of other marketing teams. 

 

Responsibilities:

· Oversee and manage all Ubisoft promotional consumer events, including budgeting, forecasting event calendar and developing event programming based on product schedule.

· Build strategic plans in coordination with promotion partners, retailers, and media campaigns.

· With the Associate Manager, execute all aspects of the initiatives. 

· Responsible for Ubisoft’s college rep program and college marketing initiatives.

· Expand the College Rep Field Marketing team. Individual will be responsible for increasing the size of the field staff to key markets.

· Identify and execute sponsorships with field events that reach the targeted consumer.

· Assess and negotiate local media opportunities (especially radio partnerships)

· Build and maintain an extensive network of valuable partner contacts, including event vendors.

· Keep current with the latest developments in the experiential marketing field, keeping Ubisoft relevant in the game publisher sector.

· Serve as a core marketing team member in developing and managing promotion campaigns in print, online, and, when possible, broadcast media.

· Develop pitch materials and proactively pitch product in all stages of development to key potential partners; gaming and consumer brands.

· Advise and influence key decision makers on promotion matters.

· Develop and maintain strong knowledge of products, production timing, corporate issues and the competitive marketplace.  Act as the brand’s spokesperson to potential partners. 

· Have a thorough understanding of current business trends; stay up-to-date on entertainment industry news and issues. 

· Assist in other department-related projects such as maintaining the department databases (mailing lists) and tracking competitor promotion programs.

 

Qualifications:

· Minimum 3-5 years promotions work experience including but not limited to radio promotions, partner tie-in barter promotions, consumer promotion events and PR stunts.  Also, has solid experience in garnering partner sponsors for promotion programs.

· Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects in a dynamic, highly charged environment.  Must be very organized and pay special attention to detail.

· Is a creative thinker who has a history of creating low cost, high impact promotional programs.

· Posses the creativity to balance strategic plans with tactical realities; sometimes on a limited budget.

· Has a large network of partner relations in a variety of consumer brand categories.

· Posses excellent interpersonal skills with the expertise and professionalism that will earn respect and trust with internal team members and external vendors.

· Is strong in presenting information effectively and professionally when pitching product promotions or responding to questions from executives and partners.

· Strong entertainment and gaming background/knowledge required.

· Bachelors or advanced degree in Marketing or Communications
