Public Relations Manager

ESSIE COSMETICS, a leading independent beauty brand, seeks a Public Relations Manager to provide hands-on leadership of all public relations efforts.

 

We’re looking for an outgoing, proactive individual with established media contacts in the beauty industry, excellent writing and communication skills, and an unlimited enthusiasm for elevating the visibility of a premium brand.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Initiate, develop and manage PR programs to support and enhance the overall marketing, sales and business goals of the company.

·         Initiate and conduct regular editor meetings/lunches, both independently and in conjunction with company founder.

·         Plan and execute events, charitable initiatives and partnerships.

·         Manage public appearances and PR activities of company founder.

·         Respond to and fulfill editorial requests, and manage press mailings.

·         Stay abreast of editorial activity and provide reports to senior management.

·         Develop and maintain currency of media lists.

·         Manage, train and develop PR Associate Manager.

 

Qualifications:

·         5-7 years of PR experience, with at least 2 years in beauty and at least 2-3 years at the manager level.

·         Excellent writing and communication skills, including press releases

·         Experience managing and developing subordinates

·         Self-motivated, dynamic, positive, enthusiastic and proactive

·         Detail-oriented with impeccable follow-through

·         Beauty media contacts essential

·         Bachelor’s Degree
