Our Facilities Maintenance Department, located at our Corporate Headquarters in Toano, VA, is seeking a Purchasing Agent.

 

This position develops and manages the indirect procurement process for the Company.  Duties include rrecommending methods and/or processes to improve efficiency and decrease costs, developing a system to track vendors, troubleshooting new vendor set up, overseeing forklift contracts and regional representative set up, and administering the Federal Express program.  The Purchasing Agent will create purchase orders, track and log past and current usage by item, cost and vendor, approve requests/orders, price out vendors for negotiations, and evaluate new vendors.

 

Candidates must have the ability to present information to customers, clients, and other members of the organization.  Knowledge of MS Office program and internet savvy are required.  Bi-lingual skills (Spanish) are helpful, but not required.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university, and at least 2 years related experience.
