QC Analyst II

Candidates should be proficient in general laboratory techniques, have experience in operating an HPLC as well as developing methods and performing instrument validations.  Duties will include supporting routine Quality Control testing of raw material, in-process product, final product and environmental samples utilizing instrumentation as well as basic laboratory techniques.  Additional duties include development and creation of methods, validation protocols and Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).  Lead/direct laboratory projects and investigations, summarizing, reporting and/or reviewing finding; direct daily tasks within laboratory to ensure compliance with Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and current Good Laboratory Practices.

 

The individual filling this position should have good organizational and time management skills and well as some leadership skills.  Strong knowledge and understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices and/or Good Laboratory Practices.  Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry and the Metric System.  Understanding of proper chemical handling, use, storage and disposal.  Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as safety rules, test methods, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to speak effectively before a group of employees within the organization.  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to record work in laboratory notebook, maintain logbooks, write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.Bachelors degree in chemistry or related discipline.  Minimum 6 years of related experience laboratory experience.  Knowledge of the Metric Systemc, GMPs and cGLPs requirements.  Proficiency in use of a PC and standard operating systems.  SAP experience preferred.
