Quality Control Coordinator

We are currently seeking a Quality Control Coordinator.  This position is located at the corporate office in Cranston, RI.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

§        Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates data to determine and maintain quality standards, such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics, and reliability of products.

§        Examines components and products for surface defects, such as streaks and scratches, and improper assembly.

§        Records results of individual observations and tests.

§        Selects products for spot checks at specified stages in production process.

§        Tests operation of product using computer-based equipment to detect loose and binding parts and to determine synchronization of related parts.

§        Tests function of assembled units, using precision mechanical, electrical, optical, and measuring instruments and adjusts mechanisms to attain specified functional performance.

§        Communicates part defects and quality control issues to Technical Manager for recording and evaluation.

§        Compiles monthly statistics/reports related to parts/assembly issues.

§        Maintains the accuracy of labor punches in the production process.

§        Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory for department consumable supplies.

§        Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of repair/assembly equipment.

§        Maintains cleanliness and organization at workstation.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

1.     High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

2.     Knowledge of production and quality control processes and procedures.

3.     Understanding of blueprints.

4.     Effective interpersonal skills. 

5.     Established ability to work collaboratively across all levels and functions of an organization to coordinate solutions.

6.     Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

7.     Attention to detail.

8.     Adaptability.

9.     Manual dexterity.

10.  Effective documentation skills.
