The position will play a major role in the implementation of BrassCraft’s Quality Management System.  The QE will be responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing operation and products are in compliant with all regulatory agencies and customer requirements through internal audits, quality plan development and continuous improvement initiatives.  This position reports directly to the Plant Quality Assurance Manager.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 Responsible for the development and implementation of the Quality Management System.  Takes a QA engineering role on process improvement, data gathering and analysis (SPC), measurements, device calibration, project management, product evaluation and development of Quality procedures and inspection programs. (control plans).Responsible for the internal audit process to ensure product and process compliance to all regulatory agency requirements.Takes a leadership role in working with the different plant personnel in addressing quality issues with the use of systematic improvement methods and tools.Responsible for the management of test records/ results/ documentations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree required.Minimum of 3 years experience on plant quality engineering. ISO experience and ASQ Certification preferred but not required.Working knowledge of PPAP, DOE, Gage R and R, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, APQP, COQ, TQM, Calibration Standards and Measurement Gages.Proficient working on MS windows environment using excel, Word, PowerPoint.  Must possess the ability to generate reports and review engineering drawings as used in product or part inspections and qualifications.Good interpersonal and communication skills and works well in a fast paced, team environment.
