Regulatory Affairs Specialist

Primary Purpose of this position:

With moderate supervision, support all international product registration functions.

 

Essential Functions:

·  Research regulatory requirements, primarily in Europe and Asia and ensure that products have the required country clearances.

·  Manage the REACH (Registration, Evaluation, & Authorization of Chemicals) compliance program.

·  Compile product registration packages and submit to local Energizer affiliates or local government authorities.

·  Maintain up-to-date product registrations, including registration expiry and product changes.

·  Coordinate with International Sales/Marketing to meet required deadlines.

·  Support the development of MSDS including submission to Wal Mart

·  Support the approval of Raw Materials & Formulations

 

Experience/Education Required:

· B.A. / B.S. in chemistry, engineering, international business or business economy preferred.

·  4+ years of related experience with a B.A. / B.S. degree, or 12+ years related experience with an Associate degree, within a regulated consumer products environment.

·  Sound knowledge European & Asian Product Registration Processes.

·  Ability to apply basic statistics and compare data trends.

 

Skills and Abilities Required:

· Ability to communicate in Spanish is desired.

· Good computer skills.  Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access/databases e-mail and internet applications.

· Excellent verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills.  Ability to interface with internal and external contacts at all levels.  Ability to clearly communicate technical and non-technical information via verbal presentations and in writing.  Good record keeping.

· Excellent organizational, prioritizing and follow up skills.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks / projects simultaneously.

· Ability to think and act independently and make sound decisions.

· Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time.

· Good analytical and problem-solving skills. 

· Some light lifting required, up to 25 pounds.
