Contact is expected and frequent—especially within the areas of Category Management, Sales, Analytics, Customer Relationship Marketing and Marketing Strategy.  The Consultant will provide analytic support for analytic suite of tools, training, consultative and client services.  Further, the consultant will be the point person responsible to drive the collaboration and facilitate program development. Major areas of opportunity include issues related to customer segmentation, pricing, forecasting, CRM, category management and promotional effectiveness. The Consultant will serve as one of the primary sources of assistance and evaluation. Responsibilities:-  Establish high client service quality by providing accurate & insightful reports & analyses that address the client’s business needs -  Leverage exceptional project management and cross-functional team-leadership skills to assist a Director or Vice President with the identification of critical client business issues and the resolution of those issues using cutting-edge custom or syndicated solutions-  The Consultant will occupy a client-centric position with a high degree of direct client involvement and will be responsible for developing strong business relationships-  Responsible for working with other Retail Client Solutions team members in terms of knowledge sharing and supporting project work -  While activities will vary, the Consultant will spend the majority of their time assisting a Director or Vice President with client management activities; managing projects using resources based in North America and in Bangalore, India; adding analysis, interpretation and a client-ready story to model outputs; and, depending on the situation, play a lead or supportive role in the client presentation.-  Other work will include producing product hierarchies and completing quality control checks of data.-  Typically the work of a Consultant will ultimately impact client strategy and execution at the shelf.  Requirements: At least 4 years of work experience with 2 or more years of experience supporting retailers or CPG manufacturers in an analytical capacity In-depth knowledge of consumer data (e.g. syndicated panel, loyalty card, internet, direct mail, custom research) as well as basic proficiency with market research Strong analytical & quantitative skills Detail oriented; efficient project management skills, and taking ownership of responsibilities Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; excellent written & verbal communication Comfortable working individually and in project team situations High level of energy and initiative, customer focus and drive for success Proficiency in MS Office applications Undergraduate degree is required. Advanced degree is a plus Must be able to work in Woonsocket, RI  Education: -  Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or Business.-  An advanced degree is strongly preferred     IRI is an Equal Opportunity Employer
