The Retention Consultant position receives program cancellation requests via inbound calls, emails and chats and must encourage continued client engagement. Counsels and motivates clients to continue with the program by identifying needs, seeking solutions and offering weight loss products. Documents correspondence as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by supervisor or management.
Demonstrate a passion for providing a superior client experience and generating revenue by retaining customers
Communicate with customers in the following manner (inbound and outbound); via phone, online sessions and email correspondence
Accurately disposition and document each customer contact
Employ optimal listening and persuasive skills to identify needs, seek solutions and motivate customers to remain on program
Retain customers by problem solving, motivating, and offering weight loss products
Promote tailored food packages and other nutritional products to existing clients
Meet or exceed all performance benchmarks issued by the director or supervisor
Provide quality weight loss counseling and service to maintain customer satisfaction
Be courteous, helpful, energetic, respectful and polite when dealing with counselors, co-workers, clients, and prospective clients
Disclose to customers the terms and conditions of the auto delivery agreement
Flexibility to work additional hours during peak season (Jan-Apr.), including days, weeknights, and weekends
Conduct outreach phone calls to existing customers to encourage program participation
Maintain an awareness and knowledge of all product information
Stay informed of trends in weight management
Perform other duties as assigned by director or supervisors
Work with department supervisors on miscellaneous department issues
Provide feedback to management on marketing campaigns and customer satisfaction

Qualifications
Excellent communication skills
Ability to conduct inbound/outbound sales phone calls to meet sales goals
Ability to work full time +1 weekend shift every other week
Ability to multitask- talk on the phone and utilize the computer
Knowledge of MS Office and use of the internet
Knowledge of nutrition, fitness, health, and weight loss maintenance preferred
Education/Experience
Minimum of high school diploma, some college exp preferred
1 year experience in sales or weight loss counseling preferred
Computer Skills
Knowledge of the Internet, E-mail, and Word Processing
