SAP Solutions Architect

The SAP Solution Architect develops solutions, strategies and makes recommendations on a wide variety of complex issues.  The SAP Solution Architect leads the application architecture planning and delivery for a large portfolio of SAP projects. 

 

Key responsibilities:

Ø      Collaborate with the Enterprise Architects and the business to develop the SAP solution roadmaps, plans and projects to support the business

 

Ø      Thoroughly understand the business processes and ensure alignment of IT efforts and systems with these processes.

 

Ø      Develop new SAP services and capabilities to the business needs

 

Ø      Provide architecture consultancy support and leadership in implementing new solutions

 

Ø      Support Enterprise Architecture in managing the services and solutions architecture

 

Ø      Create, maintain and communicate the SAP architectural standards and best practices

 

 

Experience:

This position requires extensive experience in developing SAP system landscape designs and proven experience with implementing SAP in large-scale enterprises. 

 

Must be able to work in a matrix team environment. 

 

Requirements:

Bachelor degree in IT

5-7 years relevant SAP experience with the following areas:

- SAP system landscape design.

- SAP system performance planning and management.

- Experience with R/3, BI/BW

            Knowledge of SAP WM, SCM, NetWeaver 2004s, XI, TREX a benefit

            Knowledge with any of the SAP functional areas a plus

            ABAP Experience a plus

            Experience with the SAP SOA design a plus

            Detailed understanding of the SAP Security Model (CUA, SSO) a plus

- Understanding of the Java development methodology within a SAP Landscape.

- Experience with Unix Operating systems.

- Experience with Database systems (Oracle 10g or higher).

- Understanding and experience with Storage Configuration and Management.

- Application integration experience (IX, webMethods, job scheduling).

- Experience with Supply Chain operations and the technical support of SAP in the environment
