Summary:

 

The Senior Packaging Engineer will deliver commercially available technical solutions and provide both operational and engineering focused recommendations based on knowledge, experience, and best industry practice.  Be recognized as one of the company’s technical experts regarding Packaging system equipment and design.



 

Qualifications:BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science with a Packaging Emphasis, Packaging Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering with a Packaging Emphasis, or Engineering Technology with a Packaging Emphasis is required;

 6 - 15 years of practical experience in food manufacturing and food packaging or consumer products packaging system design;

 Requires traveling to, and working in, both manufacturing facilities and vendor assembly and testing facilities;

 Requires a broad understanding of the Food Industry and the packaging materials, packaging equipment, packaging systems and controls, and related manufacturing applications used within this industry;

 Excellent leadership qualities, verbal and written communication skills, and technical analysis and problem solving skills are required.
