Safety/Human Resources Business Partner

Under the direction of the Vice President Human Resources, the Safety/Human Resource Business Partner will develop, implement and coordinate safety policies and programs for Sartori Foods production team members.  This position will work with Operations management in motivating team members to create innovative solutions which support the development of new products, enhance the quality of existing products and maximize productivity. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following:  Other duties may be assigned.

 Reviews developments in safety, occupational health, and workers’ compensation issues.  Ensures that O.S.H.A. regulations and Federal, State and Local codes and rules are observed.  Advises managers and supervisors on safety trends and regulations. Coordinates the development of safety policies and procedures.  Leads safety programs.Performs accident investigations.  Recommend annual safety goals.Coordinates and maintains all safety program documentation.Completes workers’ compensation reports.Researches, develops curriculum and conducts training and development programs.  Programs should support an innovative continuous improvement culture. Ensures legal compliance with all employment and safety related federal, state and local laws.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  Will consider work experience in lieu of education.5+ years of related experience that includes safety responsibility in a operations/continuous improvement environment.Production management position where safety was an intregal part of the position.Computer skillsLean manufacturing background a plus.
