Senior Accountant

A Consumer Products Company located in Morris County, New Jersey has an opportunity for a Senior Accountant who will handle the following responsibilities:

 

- Performing the month end and quarter end closes

- Inventory roll forwards, fixed assets, and margin analysis

- Updating and maintaining capital expenditures

- Maintaining journal entries and the general ledger

- Prepare U.S. GAAP financial statements, compilation & review

- Prepare monthly account reconciliations

- Inventory accounting and reconciliation

- Assist Accounting Manager in monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.

- Assist Senior Financial Analyst in preparation of annual sales budget

- Gross profit analysis

- Prepare financial analysis of business operations

- Reporting to the Assistant Controller

 

 

We are searching for candidates that meet the following requirements:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA is required

- Strong understanding of US GAAP, with SEC reporting experience

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

- Ability to understand and analyze financial statements, footnotes and related disclosures 

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Detail oriented individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills
