SENIOR APPLICATION PROGRAMMER III / SENIOR SHAREPOINT APPLICATIONS DEVELOPERPOSITION SUMMARY

 

The Sr. Application Programmer III will participate in the full software development life cycle for business application software.  This includes determination of requirements and ensuring that solution meets the overall needs of the business. 

 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·  Must be self-motivated and well organized with good follow through skills.

·  Ability to work on a variety of tasks in a demanding fast paced environment.

·  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with persons at all levels inside the organization and with outside customers and vendors.

·  Thoroughly familiar with PC and Client / Server Architecture

·  Must have experience working with code debuggers in Integrated Development environment

·  Knowledge of configuration management practices & full life cycle Development

 

·  Application Development – SharePoint Information Systems

o Requirements Analysis

o SharePoint Site & Application Development

o Testing

o Documentation

 

·  User Support

o Assist user in use of SharePoint-Based Software Applications

o Troubleshoot system problems and recommend solutions

 

·  Other duties, as job requires

 

 

STANDARD OF CONDUCT

 

The Sr. Application Programmer is expected to adhere to departmental and company standards of work.  When dealing with Vendors, must represent the company in a businesslike and professional manner.  Clear and concise communication is required with respect to all aspects of the job.

 DEGREE OF SUPERVISION

 

This position requires the ability to work independently, concurrently on multiple projects and priorities with little supervision.   EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

 

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field is required, and a Master’s degree is preferred.  The Sr. Application Programmer should actively pursue ongoing professional training in topics related to software development

 MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/PREFERRED 

·  5-7 years programming experience, including MSDN ASPX & .Net

·  2 Years experience developing Web Parts for SharePoint

·  Experience with Database Applications such as MS Access

·  Proficiency with MS-Office Applications is required
