Senior Financial Analyst

We have an immediate need for a Senior Financial Analyst at our Madison, WI facility.  This position will provide financial analysis, tools and support to the sales, marketing, new product development, and operations teams.  Extracts and summarizes key management data from JDEdwards and Cognos to help turn data into action.  This position will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:Conducting financial reviews of major customer planograms, markdowns, new product development spending, and promotions to analyze the benefits to Fiskars Craft and the customer.  Generating customer, brand, and product category profitability reports along with recommended actions for improvement.  Providing financial analysis and commentary supporting the inventory control efforts of the company including, but not limited to inventory turns and E&O reduction. Report Preparation: accurate financial reports, recommendations, and statistical data which will guide significant business decisions.  Generate regular and ad hoc reports via excel, Cognos, or JDEdwards summarizing highlights and recommended actions.  Budget/Forecast Management: supports budget and forecast preparation.


It is essential for applicants to have the following competencies.  Applicants without these competencies and experience will not be considered.Must have 4-year college degree in Accounting or equivalent years of experience performing similar duties, in a related field.  Minimum of 3 years experience in related field within a manufacturing environment is desired.The ability to understand and apply principles and techniques of accounting, financial management and economics when analyzing problems and making decisions.The ability to analyze information logically to determine and perform necessary mathematical operations to solve a practical math problem. This includes the ability to extract relevant information and relationships from tables, charts, graphs, and text.The ability to logically examine and interpret information from different sources to understand trends.Self-starter with meticulous attention to detail and highly organizedExcellent interpersonal and communication skills that will enhance cross-functional team work.
