Senior Marketing Manager

JostensSenior Marketing Manager – College Division  The Senior Marketing Manager position in College Marketing will report to the Director of College Marketing The individual will be responsible for identifying, leading and executing the strategic direction for consumer and customer focused growth strategies across the Regalia and Jewelry businesses.   The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for regalia and jewelry initiatives including: price strategy and execution, consumer promotions(jewelry) targeted to collegiate students, and a range of growth initiatives for Regalia which support Jostens College Value proposition of bringing innovative programs which enhance university partnerships. Customer partnerships for jewelry and regalia include commencement officers, alumni offices, University Presidents, college bookstores, and major national account partners such as Follett and Barnes & Noble. The Senior Marketing Manager will lead cross-functional teams, which are accountable for developing the strategy and successful cross-functional implementation of key initiatives that results in an improved customer experience and ultimately drives growth for Jostens.  The position will work closely with Sales management, IT, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Jostens internal Creative Development Team. The person in this position will deliver results based on executing carefully developed, financially sound and market oriented plans. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required; MBA preferred. Minimum of 8-10 years in consumer marketing business experience or industry related experience required. Strong leadership skills, ability to drive a team to results, and significant experience as a member of a management level team in a business environment. Experience in project management, ability to use project management discipline to plan, track and execute and communicate project progress Strong marketing, creativity, analytic and strategic thinking skills required. Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills; the ability to work with people at all levels, including a sales organization. Excellent knowledge and understanding of fundamental marketing and sales concepts. Ability to creatively provide solutions and ideas, narrow down a broad range of internal and external factors in order to problem solve; self starter and strong financial acumen. Superior customer service orientation and customer relationship skills. Strong computer competency with high proficiency in MS Office including Word & Excel, Internet familiarity; HTML a plus. Approximately 20% travel required.
