Senior R&D Chemist- $75k-$100k Relocation offered

Global leader in soluble films manufacturing for packaging is seeking a Senior level Chemist to assist in their R&D department.

 

General Position Description

 Chemist or Polymer Scientist with strong synthesis and physical chemistry skills to be used in the development of novel water soluble polymers for use in films, extrusion and injection molding. Successful candidate will have demonstrated success in taking new products from the bench to commercialization. This position will require hands on lab work as well as project management. Successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated mentoring ability, demonstrated skills in working with customers, experience in working with manufacturing to introduce new products and a strong commitment to a team environment. Ability to operate and interpret NMR, both proton and C13, is required in this position. Candidate must be willing to do at least limited travel in North America and internationally. Candidate must be committed to working in a small company entrepreneurial environment where the individual is required to be flexible and to be able to handle multiple projects.

 

Educational and Experience RequirementsMasters Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science or possibly Chemical Engineering is required with a preference for a Ph.D. Industrial experience of 10-15 years Experience with mixture designs highly beneficialCandidate must have prior experience with synthesis and NMR.
