Senior Software Engineer

This position is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating manufacturing software systems which increase productivity, add product flexibility, reduce product cycle times, and reduce cost across all Jostens’ businesses. This individual must work closely with business teams and end-users to identify and integrate new solutions as well as enhance existing systems. This position also includes integrating commercial solutions with existing Jostens’ systems. This position is responsible for project technical leadership (i.e. goals, scope and schedule) in cross-functional project teams. This position is responsible for coordinating outside vendors that participate in project activities.JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS: • Strong object-oriented design and development skills (C++ and Java).• Strong 3D computer graphics skills (OpenGL preferred).• Strong math background.• Strong project management skills.• Strong systems integration skills.• Must be proactive and customer focused.• Must work well in a team environment.• Good communication skills.• CNC machining/engraving experience preferred.• Windows NT and Visual C++ development experience preferred.• Relational database design/development experience preferred.• B.S./M.S. degree in Engineering, Math, or Computer Science preferred.• Minimum of 5-8 years experience preferred.
