Senior Tax Accountant

The Senior Tax Accountant will be primarily responsible for preparing state income tax returns, assisting with the federal income tax return, and property tax compliance.  This position will also be responsible for assisting with state audits, responding to notices, researching tax issues, tax provision, and special projects.

 Primary ResponsibilitiesPrepare state income tax returns, extensions, and estimates, including gathering the necessary information to support the returns and processing the related tax paymentsAssisting with the preparation of the federal income tax return, including calculating book/tax differences and completing Forms 5471Coordinate the preparation of personal property tax declarations and related paymentsAssist with state and local income tax, property tax, and sales tax auditsRespond to state noticesAssist with quarterly tax provisionResearch technical issues and communicate conclusions with management

Qualifications and RequirementsBachelor’s degree2-4 years experience in federal and multi-state income tax compliance Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with FAS 109 and FIN 48 Strong research skillsExperience in sales/use and property tax compliance preferred but not requiredExperience with state tax audits preferredCPA preferred but not required
