Senior University Relations Specialist

Senior University Relations Specialist
Purpose:
To enable Unilever to acquire top University candidates at all degree levels to fuel the talent pipeline and meet the present and future workforce needs of the enterprise.
The Senior University Relations Specialist provides account management, innovative recruitment solutions and best practices to business functions operating within the UR model.
Specific responsibilities of the role include:
Execute broad-based university relation strategies at assigned target schools that will enable Unilever to build and maintain strong relationships to advance Unilever's presence on campus. Develop relationships with deans, department heads, faculty/staff, alumni and student organizations. Work with University Relations Manager to execute detailed school strategic plans, with clearly defined objectives, desired outcomes, diversity plan, and calendar of events.
Conduct research and analyze data on college recruiting on-campus strategies, compensation trends, intern programs, student attitudes and perceptions, employer image strategies, employment laws, etc.
Work with UR team to assess each target university’s performance to determine overall effectiveness, review analyses with key stakeholders and use data and feedback to better understand long-term decisions related to each school. This includes conducting research and analysis on school data, demographics, placement statistics, school ratings, competitiveness and peer groups and majors and programs available to help formulate actionable plans to increase Unilever’s hiring success from these schools.
Partner with Unilever Talent Organization to ensure Unilever executives and university leaders are assigned and engaged to establish a long-term strategy for maximum impact at each assigned target school. This includes working with the campus teams, providing input to the strategy, maintaining and working within a defined budget, and utilizing metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of the efforts. Attend campus and recruiting events in support of target school strategy. Provide company information to candidates, faculty and administration explaining the Unilever value proposition of the Unilever experience.
Work with University Relations Manager to deliver on special projects as needed for the overall Talent Organization vision.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelors degree required in a business or human resources field. Minimum 3-5 years experience is required in Recruiting, University Relations, HR, Business or account management. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in university recruitment processes and practice is preferred. Must possess the ability to balance strategic (big picture) thinking with tactical application (detail oriented and execution focused). Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data to insight is required. Must be able to function effectively and take a leadership role in a dynamic team environment and be an agent for change. Must possess the ability to work effectively on multiple projects with competing priorities. The proven ability to meet deadlines, manage projects within budget and fulfill customer requirements is required. Must have strong presentation skills to various levels of audiences, including executives, peers, and students. Demonstrated leadership and teamwork facilitation skills are required, as well as attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Outlook is required. Experience with or working knowledge of major college job posting systems such as NACE Link or MonsterTrak is desired.
